Wat een prachtig weekend om het wedstrijd seizoen mee af te sluiten. Meer dan 100 optimisten aan de start op de AB Selectie op de Braassemermeer afgelopen weekend. Zaterdagochtend trokken er nog even een paar felle regenbuien over. Daarna ging het zonnetje aan en werden er op beide dagen 4 wedstrijden gevaren. De AB selectie is de afsluiter van de najaars-selectie en daarna wordt het nieuwe NTT bekend gemaakt. Ook werd afgelopen weekend de jaarprijs uitgereikt aan Ole Jägers uit Rotterdam. In de komende paar dagen worden de nieuwe leden van het NTT persoonlijk uitgenodigd door de OCN. Voor de Optimisten vloot begint nu het winterseizoen met trainen, clinics en uiteraard zijn er voldoende evenementen rondom de Middellandse zee om uit te kiezen. Op 30 juli 2022 begint het EK Optimist in Sonderborg Denemarken. De Nederlandse selectie bestaat uit 7 zeilers. Amber Knape, Milan Hoevens, Nicholas Koekkoek, Feline van Ede, Alexander Hartsink, Max Jansen en Jules Burnaby Lautier. Dit dreamteam staat onder leiding van Cecile Janmaat.

De WK Selectie 2022 is bekend. Ole Jägers, Folkert van Surksum, Son Weir, Marijn Brinkert en Maurits Melens mogen de Nederlandse eer gaan verdedigen in Turkije. Maarten Treuren gaat mee als coach.

De Nederlandse selectie werd bekend gemaakt tijdens de prijsuitreiking van de United 4 in Workum afgelopen weekend.

Het WK wordt gehouden van 27 juni tot en met 7 juli 2022 in de prachtige en luxe Turkse kustplaats Bodrum. Bekend om het zonnige weer. Volgen kan via de social media kanalen van de OCN en via de site : https://2022worlds.optiworld.org/en/default/races/race

With great pleasure, the Royal Yacht Club Loosdrecht (KWVL) announces the Optiparts Dutch Team Race Championship 2022 on the 21th and 22th of May 2022 on the lake of Loosdrecht.

The Optiparts Dutch Team Race Championship is by invitation only. If you would like to join the event, please pre-register.

Pre-registration is possible until the 1th of March, after this date we will inform you about the teams competing in the 2022 edition.

In 2017 and 2018 we have organized the Dutch Team Race Championship with competitors from Belgium, Swiss, Ireland, Greece, Denmark, Spain and the Netherlands. 
In 2018 we had 22 teams, 250 starts in 1 weekend with the Swedish Worlds Team winning, see attached movie to give you an impression.

We can help you with housing (apartments, hotels or stay at houses from our members), charter boats and travelling from the airport and back and of course all your other questions.

This event will take place in the weekend before the Dutch Youth Regatta (DYR) from Thursday 26^th May till Sunday 29^th May in Workum. In the last regatta in 2019 we have had over 400 optimist sailors ompeting from Curacao, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Croatia, Denmark, Hungary, Germany, France, Lithuania, Malta, Monaco, Malaysia, Singapore, Slovakia, Swiss and Thailand and of course the Netherlands.

After 2 years of no international races on our home water during Easter, we are now looking good for 2022!

All preparations are being made and the race committee is ready and eager to welcome you all.

Same goes for the sweaters who would happily be put on all sailors’ shoulders.
What in April the exact rules and regulations will be concerning COVID-19 is still not clear but through our website we will be giving regular updates.
